Lewis Puts Exclamation Point on 2023 Season With Waynesfield Win
Ricky Lewis made MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series history last night, scoring his sixth win of the season. It was also his third in three starts at Waynesfield Raceway Park. Lewis had already clinched the tour championship, but flew back from the west coast to end his BOSS season on a high note, his seventeenth overall win of the year.
A great field of 28 cars packed the pit area. The evening show would be rough on equipment and drivers and the action began immediately. Luke Hall, a local fan favorite, took a rough tumble in hot laps and walked away, but through for the night. ARP Fasteners qualifying saw Max Adams, Chance Crum and Matt Westfall quick timing their groups. Adams set overall fast time with a 13.121 second lap around the quarter mile oval.
Dustin Ingle, Chance Crum and Ricky Lewis would win preliminary heat races. In the third heat, Robert Ballou took a scary tumble in turn 2. As cars slowed with the red flag displayed, Andrew Cockman went over the right rear of Jack James, launching him on a vicious tumble down the front straight. Thankfully, both drivers escaped injury. The MSD Ignitions B Main event was won by Korbyn Hayslett over 2023 FAST On Dirt championship runner-up, Ricky Peterson.
The 25-lap main event would roll to starter Robert Penrod's green flag with Lewis and Crum on the front row. The point chase drama was for the runner-up spot as Korbyn Hayslett and Isaac Chapple were tied for the position and the duo rolled off side-by-side in row 8. In a wild season ender, it almost became more about survival rather than speed. Four caution and 2 red flags would slow the action. The most serious incident of the night would involve a trio of tour stars on lap four. Dustin Ingle and Cody Gardner tangled entering turn 3, sending Gardner hard into the retaining wall, cage first and into a violent flip with Ingle also rolling over. However, it was Steve Little, attempting to take evasive action, went over the wheel of another car, and did a violent series of barrell rolls through the bottom of turn one. Miraculously, all 3 drivers climbed out, unhurt. The other red flag of the main was for Max Adams, who was simply the victim of a car off the edge of the track, trying to squeee back on, collectiong the Loomis, California driver and dumping his mount, and he too was okay.
Chance Crum had given Ricky Lewis a race early, but through the middle stages, it was Matt Westfall who worked up to challenge for the lead. During the second half of the race, Lewis had had enough restart opportunities to know how to get the jump on the field. After the lap 23 red for Adams' flip, Lewis raced to victory over the final 2 circuits ahead of Westfall, a hard charging Korbyn Hayslett, Sterling Cling and Jadon Rogers. The balance of the top ten included Tayte Williamson, Ricky Peterson, Lee Underwood, Rylan Gray and Paul Dues.
Hayslett's run to second secured him the runner-up spot in the final standings with Chapple third, Cody Gardner fourth and Jesse Vermillion fifth. The final points for the rest of the top 10 were Lee Underwood, Brian Ruhlman, Blake Vermillion, Steve Little and Dustin Ingle. The championship banquet will be held Saturday, December 30th at The Postmark in Chillicothe, Ohio. Watch for details on the banquet to be posted soon.

Lewis Clinches BOSS Championship With Thrilling Race Win at Montpelier
The MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series race at the Montpelier Motor Speedway on Saturday almost felt like it was drawn up by a Hollywood script writer. California's Ricky Lewis entered the night virtually a lock to clinch the 2023 tour title. However, with his aluminum 410 engines down during rebuilds, he was forced to use a steel block 360 cubic inch engine. Struggling in the prelims, he would start 11th in the 20-car main event. Then, as if placing an exclamation point on his tour with BOSS, Lewis drove around 10 cars in 25 consecutive green flag laps to score his fourth tour win of the season.
The beautiful fall evening found 25 sprint cars signed in on a very well prepared race track. Brayden Clark set fastest time in ARP Fasteners qualifying during group 2 with a 13.757 second lap. Lee Underwood and Max Adams paced groups 1 and 3. Heat race wins went to Dustin Ingle, Colten Cottle and Max Adams while Blake Vermillion won the B-Main.
Ingle and Cottle would pace the A-Main to green, but an opening lap incident forced a complete restart. The second attempt would not only go, but would GO for 25 consecutive laps. Dustin Ingle grabbed the early lead and would lead the first 5 circuits before fifth starting Max Adams roared to the lead off turn 4. Over the next 7 laps, Adams stretched the lead until at the halfway point where he had a full straightaway lead on runner-up Tayte Williamson. At this point, Lewis was only up to the fourth spot.
From laps 12 through 22, Lewis managed to go from 4th to 2nd and close a full half lap on Adams. With a few laps remaining, he made the winning move to relegate Adams to the runner-up spot as he raced on to the win with Jesse Vermillion rounding out the podium. Tenth starting Isaac Chapple had a great run up to finish fourth with Williamson hanging onto fifth. Rounding out the top 10 were Korbyn Hayslett, Colten Cottle, Garrett Abrams, Dustin Ingle and Blake Vermillion.
The BOSS tour would like to extend a big thanks to track promoter Chad King and his staff for hosting a pair of BOSS events and a FAST event in 2023 and being a pleasure to work with! We look forward to racing both tours there in 2024. The final BOSS event of the season will be held on Saturday, October 28th at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. We also congratulate Ricky Lewis on being the 2023 tour champion!

Lewis Scores 3rd BOSS Win of 2023 at Waynesfield
Tour point leader, Ricky Lewis, stretched his margin on the field by winning the 25 lap MPD Racing BOSS main event Saturday night at Waynesfield Raceway Park. Starting third, he chased early leader Kody Swanson into lapped traffic, making the winning pass well before the halfway mark.
The evening began with 23 sprint cars signed in for battle. ARP Fasteners qualifying found Korbyn Hayslett, Lewis and Swanson the fastest in their respective groups. Heat races were won by Cody Gardner, Dustin Ingle and Swanson. Following the support class heat races, promoter Larry Boos opened the pit area allowing fans the opportunity to meet the drivers and see the cars up close!
The main event would find Hayslett and Swanson on the front row with Lewis and Ingle in row 2. Swanson grabbed the early lead but Lewis proved to be the best on this night, passing for the lead in turns 3 and 4 around lap 9. Heavy traffic would plague the leaders early as more than half the event stayed clean and green. The pivotal point of the race was the caution flag for the second and third running cars of Swanson and Korby Hayslett getting together in turns 1 and 2 and briefly getting hooked together. Another late yellow flag and one late red for a 4-car pile-up would set up a 3-lap dash to the finish line. Sixth starting Matt Westfall now found himself in the runner-up spot with a shot at the win, but Lewis proved strong enough to hold on over Westfall, Rylan Gray, a hard charging Dallas Hewitt and Evan Mosley completing the top 5. The rest of the top 10 was Cody Gardner, Isaac Chapple, Kody Swanson, Dustin Ingle and Korbyn Hayslett.
Next up for BOSS is this coming weekend's "Rusty McClure Classic"! The weekend will begin on Friday, August 18 at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio for a standard BOSS purse. A night later, we will honor Mr. McClure at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio with a $2,909 to win / $359 to start main event with $900 in added "mystery money" throughout the field courtesy of: Outlaw Logistics, Hall's Auto Sales, M.Miller Construction, The Beer Barrel Drive-Thru, Smetz's Tire Center, Apple Metal Polishing, J&F Construction, Roger & Sharon Mossbarger, Tom & Laurie Sertech, and Rusty & Cappie McClure themselves! Osborne & Mihocko Score First Career BOSS Wins at Paragon
The theme of the weekend at Paragon Speedway was stacked fields and first-time winners for the doubleheader MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series shows. Thirty-one cars signed in for Friday's program and a whopping 42 cars packed the pit area Saturday, despite heavy early morning rain that flooded parts of the pit area and the race track.
On Friday, heat race wins were taken by Cody Gardner, Colten Cottle, Logan Calderwood and Ryan Thomas. Tour regular Jesse Vermillion put on a clinic in the B Main charging from 8th to take the win.
Trey Osborne grabbed the early lead of the main event that would be slowed by several cautions and 2 red flags. On lap 6, Rylan Gray and Logan Calderwood tangled in turn 1 with Ivan Glotzbach taking evasive action off the track and into the edge of the trees. On the restart, tour point leader Ricky Lewis executed a scary series of flips in turn one, but emerged unhurt. Another scary incident saw Kody Barksdale take a scary ride while Matt Cooley did a wild pirouette into turn one. Again, everyone was okay. Osborne would cruise on to his first ever BOSS win over Jake Scott, Sterling Cling, Jesse Vermillion and Nick Bilbee.
On Saturday, the Paragon Speedway staff worked all morning and afternoon, but gave the series a great race track! Zack Pretorius set overall quick time against the 42 car field with a 15.509. Heat wins were taken by Jake Scott, Rylan Gray, Tye Mihocko, Ricky Lewis and Cody Gardner. The pair of stacked B mains were won by Isaac Chapple and Jordan Kinser.
In the main event, Tye Mihocko started from the pole and led all 25 laps to score the win. Ricky Lewis raced from 6th to finish second while Shane Cottle completed the podium finishers. Cody Trammell and Steve Sussex completed the top 5.

Lewis Doubles Up But Perigo Prevents Weekend Sweep
California transplant Ricky Lewis scored his first career tour win with the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series on Friday night at Lernerville Speedway. The next night, Lewis would start from the pole at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and lead 23 laps before his nemesis, Carmen Perigo, sneaked by to edge him out of victory lane. Following a day off, the 14th annual Jack Hewitt Classic is a race that will not soon be forgotten as Lewis charged from 10th to win in a controversial affair that brought the fireworks a day early to the tour.
Beginning at Lernerville on Friday night, 18 cars signed in for action with Cody Gardner setting overall fast time of 15.606 seconds to pace ARP Fasteners time trials in group 2. Jesse Vermillion and Isaac Chapple were also fast timers of their groups while heat race wins went to Vermillion, Carmen Perigo and Chapple. The main event saw 6th starting Lewis chase down pole starting Chapple for the win, with help from a delaminating right rear on Chapple's Doug Hall number 6. Fifth starting Jesse Vermillion was also able to slip past the ailing Chapple to score his best ever tour finish, a runner-up spot. With Chapple completing the podium, it was Korbyn Hayslett and Carmen Perigo rounding out the top 5.
On Saturday at Pittsburgh, the shortest field in tour history signed in as only 14 drivers were brave enough to tackle Pittsburgh's Monster Half Mile. Thirteen of the 14 on hand were BOSS tour regular racers and the lone Pennsylvania local was a first time sprint car starter in Louis Mattes, whom we will see more of with both BOSS and FAST as he gets accustomed to sprint car racing. Isaac Chapple set overall quick time pacing a stacked group 1 with a 20.377 second lap. Paul Dues was quickest overall in group 2. Heat race wins went to Ricky Lewis and Dues. In the main event, Lewis would start from the pole position and check out early on the 25-lap green to checker affair. However, The "Stoystown Streak" Carmen Perigo got rolling late closing on Lewis in the final laps to steal the win. Following the pair at the finish was defending tour champion Isaac Chapple as Korbyn Hayslett and Paul Dues rounded out the top 5.
On Monday, the 3 race/4 day weekend came to a close at Waynesfield Raceway Park for the annual Jack Hewitt Classic where 30 traditional sprint cars appeared to battle on the quarter mile oval. An afternoon rain shower would "juice-up" the track and the full moon would bring the fireworks a day early.
Kingsburg, California's Kody Swanson quick-timed the field overall with a 12.177 second lap to lead group one and pick up a $200 bonus from a former BOSS feature winner, now NASCAR star, Chase Briscoe. Isaac Chapple and Dustin Ingle were quickest in groups 2 and 3 respectively. Heat race wins went to Paul Dues, Rylan Gray and Landon Simon while Korby Hayslett won the MSD Ignitions B-Main event.
The 30-lap feature event saw Luke Hall and Rylan Gray bring a 22-car field to Rick Monroe's green flag with Hall grabbing the early lead. A lap 5 red flag would slow the event first when Tayte Williamson experienced mechanical trouble sending him up the track and into Dallas Hewitt, eliminating both from the event. Hall still showed the way with Gray second and Paul Dues third. Tenth starting Ricky Lewis was already to 6th. A debris caution would fly on lap 6, then the Jack Hewitt Classic got very interesting.
Near the mid-race point, the hard charging Ricky Lewis was making aggressive moves through the field. Rarely was there contact, but racing room and racing etiquette became the subject on the race. A lap 16 incident saw Paul Dues and Rylan Gray make contact in turn 4 battling for the runner-up spot with Lewis able to close on them. In turn 1 and 2, Lewis and Dues also made contact with Dues sliding off the top of the track bringing out the caution. The understandably frustrated Dues, who had just been battling for second in the Jack Hewitt Classic, mistakenly took out his frustration on the wrong race car, ending a fine run by former BOSS star Landon Simon.
Back under green flag action, Lewis charged from 3rd to first with determined moves on Rylan Gray and race-long leader, Luke Hall who had led 28 laps in the Kyle Simon 23. Clearly the fastest car in the closing laps, Lewis pulled away to score the controversial win over Hall, Kody Swanson, Gray and Isaac Chapple. Rounding out the top 10 were Dustin Ingle, Korbyn Hayslett, Lee Underwood, Ryan Barr and Steve Irwin.
The BOSS tour is back in action this Saturday, July 8th at Atomic Speedway in a doubleheader program with its companion series, the winged Ti22 Performance FAST On Dirt 410 sprints.

Bilbee Builds Bankroll With Big BOSS Wins
Indiana sprint car star Nick Bilbee doubled up on the weekend picking up back-to-back wins with the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series. The victories came on two of the fastest tracks the tour sees all season long. Friday night, the historic Eldora Speedway was the scene where he overcame a 30-car field. A day later, he backed it up with a win at the ultra-fast Lawrenceburg Speedway defeating a 24-car field.
Friday night at Eldora, the top 2-point men paced their qualifying groups. Ricky Lewis set overall quick time at 15.968. Korbyn Hayslett led his group with a 16.262 and Bilbee quick timed group 3 with a 16.356. Heat races were won by Lewis, defending tour champion Isaac Chapple, and 2020 tour champion Dallas Hewitt. Travis Hery took the B-Main event.
The 22-car main event was paced to green by Ricky Lewis and Dallas Hewitt. Hewitt grabbed the early lead for a race that would see no yellows, but two red flags. B-Main winner Travis Hery took a nasty ride on the backstretch and was transported to be checked out and was released. The other red flag came out for multi-time Eldora track champion Brian Ruhlman who rode out his first sprint car flip at the "Big E" but also emerged unhurt.
Bilbee made his winning move on a restart leaving the field to battle for the place money. Hewitt had an engine ailing in the closing laps, as Dustin Ingle had his best ever run at Eldora racing to second at the finish with Lewis and Hayslett in the 3 and 4 spots as Tyler Kendall rounded out the top 5. Cody Gardner, Isaac Chapple, Australian Todd Hobson, Paul Dues and Ryan Barr completed the top 10.
A day later, Ricky Lewis would again set overall quick time leading group 1 with a sizzling 13.882 while Tyler Kendall and Saban Bibent also quick-timed their groups. Heat wins went to Isaac Chapple, Ryan Barr and Parker Frederickson. Lawrenceburg track promoter Dave Rudisell agreed to start all 24 cars on hand, so no B-Main was scheduled. However, a heat race crash involving the top 2 in points ended the night early for Korbyn Hayslett after contacting a spinning Ricky Lewis, sending both into a series of tumbles. Tyler Kendall changed rides for the main event after engine trouble surfaced in his car. He would start the John Soudrette 44 from the rear of the now 22 car field.
A special "missing man formation" 4-wide salute brought the fans to their feet in honor of four-time BOSS winner and defending Lawrenceburg Speedway track champion, Justin Owen. The 26-lap main event was an extra lap for "The Juice" as he was known on the tour. Ryan Barr and Isaac Chapple were on the front row with Barr grabbing the early lead. The race would be slowed once for a yellow flag with a car slowed along the front straight.
Nick Bilbee took over the lead around the halfway point but as the laps wound down it became apparent that Garrett Abrams was the fastest car on the race track charging from 12th to second but running out of laps. Barr got rolling again late and made the final laps a 3 car battle, but settled for completing the podium for the first time in BOSS action. Chapple held on for fourth with 10th starting J.J. Hughes completing the top 5. Cody Gardner, Lewis, Frederickson, Bibent and Kendall completed the top 10.
After an off-weekend ahead, BOSS returns to action on Friday, June 30th with a return to Lernerville Speedway and Saturday, July 1st at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Then, following a day off, the tour will see the prestigious "Jack Hewitt Classic" at Waynesfield Raceway Park.

Chapple Perseveres With BOSS Win at Knox
Just days prior to the BOSS race at Knox Raceway on Sunday, defending tour champion Isaac Chapple rode out a violent flip at the historic Knoxville Raceway in Iowa. The victim of a slide job gone wrong, Chapple returned to action with BOSS Saturday at Mercer with a fifth place finish then backed it up with a domintaing win on Sunday in the tour's first ever visit to the scenic Knox Raceway in Pennsylvania.
Nineteen drivers signed in for racing with rain in the area threatening the event. Dustin Ingle, Matt Westfall and Carmen Perigo paced their groups in qualifying. Westfall was overall quickest in ARP Fasteners time trials with a 15.300 lap time. Jesse Vermillion, Cody Gardner and Chapple scored heat race wins.
All nineteen cars reported to the grid and pushed off for the 25 lap main event as very light sprinkles began to fall. With Steven Drevicki and Isaac Chapple pacing the field, third starting Cody Gardner was forced to the pits with mechanical issues. Chapple would grab the early lead but the race's only yellow flag would fly working lap 2 for a conglomerate of cars stopped in turn 2.
Back under green, Chapple set sail on a clear race track leaving the balance of the field to fight for the balance of the main event purse. The imminent rain prevented the track staff from being able to work the traack before the main event. Although smooth, the racers found the bottom groove as the place to be. Lap after lap, the cars ran lower and lower on the track, eventually getting the left front into an area that was not watered.
The professional racers the BOSS tour is proud to put on display did a great job of navigating the impaired vision off turn 4 and the race went the final 24 laps caution free. Chapple was never challenged flashing the Doug Hall number 6 across the line with a 7.815 second advantage over Drevicki who held on for second. Matt Westfall, Korby Hayslett and Dustin Ingle compleyed the top 5. The balanve of the top 10 was Carmen Perigo, Jesse Vermillion, hard charger Ricky Lewis, Charles Davis Jr and Lee Underwood.
Behind Chapple, positions 2 through 15 finished on the lead lap, all separated by only 7.376 seconds showing how competitive the tour is. BOSS has already been invited to return with series officials and track officials eager to give the drivers a better racing surface to show how fast Knox Raceway CAN be when not rushed by oncoming weather issues. We want to thank the teams for their cooperation as the complete 4 division program was run in well under 2 hours.
BOSS returns to action this Friday night, joining the All Star Circuit of Champions and their Ohio All Star Sprint Speedweek event at Eldora Speedway. Then on Saturday, the tour goes to the Lawrenceburg Speedway, where they will pay tribute to the late Justin Owen in a race that will feature an "extra lap for The Juice" and will pay the winner $2,264 to win, celebrating Owen's numbers 26 and 4 with which he competed with the tour.

Perigo The BOSS at Michael's Mercer Raceway

In a triumphant return to Michaels Mercer Raceway the MPD Racing boss sprint cars ran a feature for the history books, as Carmen Perigo picked up his fourth BOSS win of the season.
The show lived up to its hype as fans witnessed one of the greatest sprint car races in mercer history. All 25 drivers would start the feature with 2023 3 time winner Carmen Perigo starting 6th. Ingle and Underwood would lead the field to green but longtime veteran Brian Ruhlman would blast from his 4th starting position to take the lead on the outside passing 3 cars to lead the very 1st lap!
Ruhlman would lead until lap 3 when Perigo would get by from his 6th starting position. From lap four on it was a slugfest as even though Perigo would lead every lap at the scoring loop, his hands were fit to be tied as behind him as California drivers Matt Mitchell and Ricky Lewis and Troy Ohio’s Lee Underwood would hound the leader lap after lap. Ruhlman would be running 2nd, Underwood 3rd Lewis 4th and Mitchell 5th.
Underwood would get under Ruhlman for 2nd on lap 5 and Mitchell would take 3rd on lap 7. Perigo would get into lapped traffic on lap 9 and be 1.2 seconds ahead of the pack.
The top 4 would all run the high line around the lapped cars. Lewis and Mitchell would do slide jobs back and forth at the halfway point for 3rd.
Mitchell would then battle Underwood for 2nd side by side as they would swap positions. Mitchell would overtake underwood for 2nd then Lewis would get around for 3rd.
Mitchell would then take the high side to go side by side with Perigo but Perigo would still keep the lead. With 5 to go Lewis would catch the leaders and pass Mitchell for 2nd. Lewis and Perigo would touch in turn 2 and both slowed down with Lewis on the outside making it 3 wide but Perigo would still hold the lead. Lewis would try a another slide job in turn 4 but it was to no avail as Perigo would win by .374 over Lewis, Mitchell, Underwood and Chapple in one of the best sprint car features at mercer in its 73 year history.
Perigo would say “I couldn’t let those California boys take the money home .. that track took a hundred degree turn ..we could run the top and run sliders all over .. Ricky came in like gang busters in turn 1 and either we would stall or would go into the wall and luckily we were able to hold them off!” 2nd place Ricky Lewis would say “ I stalled the motor it was my bad on that…every time we come race with him (Perrigo) he beats me by one spot. It was a lot of fun …anytime you can pull sliders it makes it exciting! hats off to the track crew for the surface tonight.”
3rd place Matt Mitchell would say “hats off to the track crew for making it racey tonight and when I got up top it was fun up there …this is my 1st ever time in Pennsylvania and wanted to experience what I keep hearing about the drivers and the fans here and it was great.”

Leary Rolls to BOSS Season Opening Win
Under beautiful spring skies, the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series rolled full tilt into their twelfth season of traditional sprint car competition. The scene was the historic Montpelier Motor Speedway, and the event was the second annual "Let's Go 30" in memory of Russ Cook. The Cook family generously contributed an additional $3,500 to the $13,000 standard tour payout. At the end of the night, it was Indiana native C.J. Leary scoring the win in the Brandon Gray number 81.
After drawing the dreaded eight in the NGK Spark Plugs Redraw, the crowd on hand AND those watching from home live on TheCushion.com knew they were in for a show! In a methodical drive on a diverse race track, Leary chose to ride the rim where it was "cowboy up" on the quarter mile bullring. Through 30 grueling laps and one red flag, Leary pushed harder into turn one, bicycling on more than one occasion. In victory lane when asked how tricky it was running the top, Leary said on a scale of 1 to 10, it was a 12.
The night began with Emerson Axsom laying down fast time of the night with a 13.965 second lap. Other fast timers during ARP Fasteners qualifying for the four heat race groups were Cody White, Leary and Kyle Shipley. The 2020 tour champion, Dallas Hewitt, took a wild ride during qualifying when he barrel-rolled in turns 1 and 2 in what seemed like a rodeo 8-second ride! Thankfully he was unhurt.
Heat race action saw Axsom claim TCB Speed heat number one. Mitch Wissmiller took the checkers first in Brave Breeds Dog Rescue heat 2. Leary scored an impressive win in TheCushion.com heat 3 and defending and two time BSS champion, Matt Westfall, picked up the win in Outsider's Merchandise & Apparel heat 4.
Tour regular, Dustin Ingle, got upside down in turns 3 and 4 during heat race two, but that just made for some great drama in the B and A Mains. After making some hasty repairs, Ingle rolled off 10th in the 12 lap MSD Ignitions B-Main. Steve Little checked out on the field early but Ingle was on the move early. With the top 6 advancing to the main event, Ingle was safe before the halfway mark. But the Gross & Sons number 2di was on a rail and sprinted on to win the race.
Tour regulars Cody Gardner and Paul Dues brought the 22 car starting field to the green flag. Fourth starting Matt Westfall was the strongest car early on, but Emerson Axsom starting fifth was also on the move and took the lead and appeared to be the car to beat. About halfway through the main event, Leary found the magic he needed, reeling in the leader.
The only serious incident in the main event was on lap 23 when Rylan Gray got upside down off turn four. When the red flag was called over the driver radios, Ricky Lewis checked up entering turn 3, caught a rut, and took a wild series of flips through turn 3. Thankfully both were uninjured.
After a long red flag cleanup, the race went back green for a final 8 lap dash to the finish. Leary rode off into the sunset with the lion's share of the cash. Axsom, who restarted second, slid off the track near the end, losing several positions. Matt Westfall raced up to take second with Isaac Chapple getting up to complete the podium. Koby Barksdale advanced 9 positions to finish 4th with Korbyn Hayslett having a strong run to round out the top 5.
Dustin Ingle's comeback story ended with him taking the Accu-Force Dynos "Hard Charger" award advancing from 17th to 6th! Rounding out the top 10 were Mitch Wissmiller, Saban Bibent, Jesse Vermillion and Luke Hall.
Up next for the BOSS tour is Saturday, May 7th at Atomic Speedway. Following Atomic, the tour is set to go to Gas City Speedway on Friday, May 20th. The "To Be Announced" date of Saturday, May 21 will be announced this week.
